You should have come over today...

No really!!! We started off the day with a spontaneous tent city. Jen broke out the twin's new tent system that they got for Christmas (which is rad by the way), and I broke out Max's TeePee and tunnel. We thought the kids would think this was an absolute carnival in their own backyard, but alas, they were more interested with the usual bushes, dead flowers, bugs...and the sidewalk chalk to keep them a little more reigned it. I would have been in heaven if I were them! Actually, they finally got interested in the configuration just as lunch/naptime was approaching... It was really fun! This picture is Max and Berkleigh in the tunnel. We got some fun pics. Also, Max and Berkleigh have taken to holding hands as they walk around...sooo stinkin' cute! So...in other words, we had a really fun morning. We ate a quick lunch, and put the kiddos down for their naps. While Max slept, I packed our dinner and some snacks up for our first afternoon trip to Disneyland, which was also our first trip with out the big man. I was a little anxious to see how I'd manage Max being alone, as well as how Max would handle being there
after his nap, but it was soooo great!!! We hardly had to wait in any lines...actually, only one line, and we were able to go on some of the rides that we had never been on before. We went with Jen and the twins, Berkleigh and Merrick, Kristy and Becky and their sweet little newborns, Dallin and Hailey. This is a picture of the gang on Heimlich's Chew Chew train (the caterpiller from bugs life). We also hit up the lady bug ride (which is like the tea cups, but short and for littler kids). Since being pregnant, swings and rides like these
make me dizzy, but Max L-O-V-E-S this ride, so it's worth it for 1 and a half minutes of nausea. I told Jen that I'd take the twins on with us, cause she can't take it either. So, it was me, Max, Berkleigh and Merrick...and I was seriously laughing the whole time! All three kids were giggling non-stop, Merrick kept falling off the seat, while laughing...anyway, I was too busy that I didn't get a bit dizzy...soooo fun! I realize that you can't see the kids' faces, but this ride was really fun for ME! And of course, Max's favorite, we rode the carousel. He could ride this every 10 minutes and not get sick of it. He's such a fun little boy! So, we had an awesome day, you should have come over and had an awesome day with us!
