100 mile club

At the beginning of the school year, we got a flyer sent home with Max, inviting him to be a part of the 100 Mile Club.  Basically, M, T, W mornings and Fridays during lunch, the kids are able to run around the soccer fields at school, counting their laps with dyed Popsicle sticks.  5 laps equates a mile, and the goal, obviously, is to reach 100 miles by the end of the school year.
That seems like kind of a lot for a 5-year-old Kindergartner, so each stick counts double for each Kindergartner.  (Max needs to get 50 miles or 250 sticks to reach his goal)
 He's been running for several months, now.  Each morning, we ask him if he'd like to run, and it's always an excited YES!  He totally takes it seriously, too, because he wears his 'running shoes' to school, and packs his regular school pair in his back-pack for when he's done.
 I will admit, that I'm totally impressed with Maxer!  So far, he's already exceeded the goal of 50 miles...in fact, he's hit more like 75 miles already, and for sure will reach the older kid's goal of 100 actual miles in no time!  In fact, not to brag or anything, but he's leading his class in miles by far!{ok, i'm bragging}
So fun!
Each morning, he runs 5 laps..if Ivy takes a lap or two with him, he only makes 3 or 4...but it's SO fun!
He gets so excited walking back to his classroom, counting his sticks.  He says: Mom, I'm a good runner, like you!  {sigh....that makes me happy!}
He's such a stud!
Way to go, Maxer!

Muffins with Mom

Yesterday, the PTA at Max's school put on "Muffins with Mom" which was just a really good excuse to go on a little mini date with just Maxer and I.
(look how cute the juice box lay-out is!)
 my, doesn't he look excited?
I promise he was having a good time!  haha
 And...we didn't have muffins, rather I got a maple bar!{my favorite}and Max got his pick of doughnuts and went with the classic just glazed.
Fun little morning with my little guy...and Ivy got some fun time with Daddy

Baby Scarlet

I had a loooong, hungry morning today with my glucose test (where you have to fast for 8 hours before, and then they take your blood, and then make you drink that nasty orange syrup, and then take your blood 2 more times over the next 2 hours)
booty!
and then, immediately after that appointment, since they were in the same building, I scheduled my ultrasound that was ordered because I'm measuring 4-5 weeks larger than I should be. (that's nice)
So, after 10 hours of fasting, I got to see this:
Baby Scarlet at 28 weeks
 and this fun picture...where you can see her nose and her cute lips.  random, but this is my favorite one!
I love to see pics of my baby!
(ps...if there is any information that's embarrassing on the side there where it's all jibberish and doctor lingo, please tell me...:)  I'm just hoping that no one else knows what it's saying! )  I certainly don't know!

Clara and Ivy

Mar Mar and Paw Paw's house is where cousins come to become friends.
Ivy and Max both LOVE Clara and Carter, and talk about them nonstop.  It was so fun to get to spend some more time with their cousins playing in the pasture, exploring, and becoming friends!  love it
thanks for the fun pic, Brand!
