Don't ask me how I did it...
Don't ask me to do it again...
But... I made my very own car seat cover!
I will gladly admit that I have NO idea how to read a pattern. A quilting pattern...sure, probably, unless it's something crazy...but a clothes/real seamstress sewing pattern. No shot. They have all those arrow marks and dashed lines and bold lines and fold lines, and you have to pin (pinning is the enemy)!
So, this was my project while I was at my mom's house in December. I got most of it done, but didn't bring enough fabric with me to totally finish it. So, while I've been holed up in my apartment today (since this is day one of potty training) I cut out the last piece and put in the elastic. Now I just have to figure out how to do the little canopy dealy for the top, since that didn't come in the pattern I have. woo hoo...but I don't think I could do that again without the supervision of a real person that sews!

Man, you are making me feel lame with my gender-generic baby gear I use. I guess I could try and make something cute for our coming girl, but her green walls and beige car seat will have to do. You really are talented!!
So darn cute. You continute to amaze me.
Too cute! I purchased one of those nursing cover things way back when, so if you want to use it for a pattern go for it. On second thought I am totally enabling you...like a friend giving her alcoholic friend another drink. Put down the glue gun, Autie!
holy moly...this is insane, now you need to go on etsy.com and get her or make her a hot pink and zebra pillowcase dress with the hot pink heels from heelarious.com!!!! so cute, I just got some for paisley. You are so talented. I want one! you should start a business.
i hate patterns. who thought they made sewing easier? If there is a pattern, tack on another 12 hours. :)

Holy sheesh! Your amazingness never seems to end! Love you, lots!

Autie- I had no idea you were so domestic. You have so many cute crafts and decorating ideas. I need some inspiration for my boys' bedroom. It looks like my two little ones will be sharing and I feel bad leaving it so blah. Where do you get your ideas?? Love them all- and I am totally jealous/envious/proud that your ran a 5k at 26 weeks! Hope you're feeling well!
