Ward Storytime

In October, my friend Laura and I decided to start a Ward Storytime. We invite all the moms of young kids in the ward every Friday at 9:30AM. We had a sign-up sheet for different moms to host each week, to choose a theme, read a couple of stories, have a snack and then play for a little while. It's been so fun! I've loved having the moms of the teeny-tiny babies come to hang out, I've loved to be around the other moms that have kids my age and hearing them read their favorite stories.
Max is at school on Friday mornings, and it's been a fun activity for Ivy and I to do together.
Today, my friend Kristin chose a pig theme, we read Olivia and If you Give a Pig a Pancake (both of which I hadn't read)...here we are:
and she made the cutest little pig noses for each of the kids. LOVE IT!

Thanks Kristin!

This is a great idea! Simple, but so fun. I can't wait till I get to be a stay-at-home mom and host something fun like that.
