Jen's Summer Challenge

So, I was reading my friend, Jen's blog, and she committed to doing something fun with her kids EVERY DAY this summer. I at first thought, 'sheesh, I don't know if I could think of that many things to do.' but when I thought more about it, I thought: We live where other people vacation, there are soo many fun things to do here...we, for sure, should be doing at least 1 fun activity a day. So, I'm taking her commitment as a challenge, and will document, as she is doing, the
60 fun days of SuMmER 2009.
Father's Day was the official first day of summer, and just as a recap, this is what we've done so far. Stay tuned for our 60+ fun activities!
Day 1: (june 21) Father's Day: fun bike ride with the fam, Daddy BBQ with the neighbors, etc!
Day 2: Ivy's First experience at the Beach...
Day 3: Home Run Readers (summer reading program kick-off at the Library). Someone gave us their remaining tickets, so we did everything for freeeee!
Day4: Story time at the Library, and then played at Lake Park with our friends
(Max and I, Megan and Addison...Ivy was zonking on a bench nearby)
Day 5: Orange County Great Park Hot Air Balloon ride! So fun!
