This sticker on our dumpster makes me laugh every time I take the garbage out. I just wonder if it was specifically placed there to inform me that dumpster-diving is against the law.

regardless of the sticker...I found this in the dumpster: {please keep in mind that I technically don't 'dive' but rather see things on the side of the road
next to the dumpster, and rescue them from certain death.} It was rusty and chipped and dirty, but otherwise sturdy and awesome. I didn't
need it, but all I could think when I walked past was:
oh, the pictures!
So, I cleaned her, steel-wooled her, rust-reformed her, primed her, painted her, sealed her, and then posed with her...and I think she is sooo cute!

Ready for anyone to borrow my cute candy apple red bench for a picture session! Come over and get it. How about smack dab in the middle of the beach...sigh I think it's
yum!

Ok, this makes me giggle because when we lived in Seattle, there were so many perfectly good (and sometimes almost new) things put in or next to the dumpster. There was this girl who lived in the complex who would throw out boxes of barely used clothing all the time. She was nice enough to set it to the side of the dumpster and people would just go for them! One time someone left a hiking baby backpack next to the dumpster. Austin was just a few months old and I wanted one so bad! I let it sit there for a WEEK, sure that someone had left it there by mistake. Finally, I broke down and took it. I even left a note saying that if someone accidentally left it by the dumpster, they could have it back! A month later and the note was still there, so the backpack was mine!!! I still have and use that backpack ALL THE TIME!
It's not scavenging if they leave it out of the dumpster...right?!!
Nice job Autie! I love the red!
I love it!
Ummm...you forgot to mention whose idea it was to paint it that color...hee! :)
