A few days ago, we were thankful for our hands, and we used them to paint an empty egg carton with the intention of going on a color hunt later that day. As a side note, Max had a really fun time doing it and now keeps asking me to do 'activities' because apparently I asked him if he wanted to do an activity. now I have to think of awesome things to do all the time...dang it! but so cute.
Anyways, we didn't end up having time to go on a color hunt that day...time has been flying lately! But today, we are thankful for the seasons, and we were supposed to go for a nature walk and enjoy the colors around us...well, how perfect was that! So, today we went on our color hunt and this is what we found. Black and blue were the hardest... Max kept hollering: 'I see somethin' yellow!' great little 'activity' for us.
pink: petals, blue: painter's tape on a piece of garbage, purple: petals, gray: rocks, yellow: caution tape and dandelions (not sure if the caution tape was from Halloween, or a real crime scene...remind me not to walk down that street again). black: a piece of rubber...random, white: seashell and petals, brown: bark and leaves, orange: bird of paradise top notch and changing leaf, red: flowers, green: leaves, grass, turquoise: garbage from a lollipop and some weird rubber washer thingy.
I had to include this picture from our color hunt...Ivy had a dandy old time. I was trying to get Maxer to look at me and show me his treasures, but couldn't...then I look over at Ivy, who's playing with her favorite hippo {which by the way, she thinks is part of a boob and enjoys just having it's foot in her mouth...this simple fact cracks Jeff up on a regular basis...no, really cracks him up...anyways} and she was just sitting there giggling away...she's so fun!

You are so stinking creative! If my girlies were younger I'd totally do this!
ABSOLUTELY GREAT IDEA!!! When the big boys were little, we went on walks (prior to the crazies before dinner). We took plastic bags and we were 'thing-finders'...like Pippi Longstocking...a fun book we read at the time. The rule: no glass, cig. butts., etc. BUT they had a bag of 'stuff' when we returned, and helped to clean up the neighborhood. Your idea is prettier, cleaner...and such a fun way to get-out-and-have-fun! Keep doing it...your results will be different each time. Good job, Aut! XO MOM
